Muslim/Jewish Twinning: The ICSC is joining with mosques and synagogues throughout the nation to participate in a joint effort to counter Islamophobia and antisemitism. Each of the 100 mosques and 100 synagogues that are part of the effort will engage in events with their counterparts to help promote mutual understanding. This month’s events will take place on three days during the weekend of Friday, Nov. 19 to Sunday, Nov. 21. Details for the weekend program are below.

Twinning is scheduled to take place the weekend of November 19th with a shabat service in Santa Monica, followed by a Sunday program at the Islamic Center from noon till 2:30.

* Nov. 19 – Beth Shir Sholom Temple in Santa Monica will host a joint Shabbos Tish with the Islamic Center starting at 7:30 p.m.

* Nov. 21 – The Islamic Center will host a joint prayer and luncheon with membersof Beth Shir Sholom starting at 1 p.m.
